The Pals are a species of primarily stuffed animals. They live on Earth in a section of America known as Plushland. They are mostly friendly, and were peace-loving before The Great War. The origins of these fuzzy creatures is a mystery to most, but some wise, ancient beings may know the truth.
History
The Pals were brought into existence by the Creators. It is unknown why these powerful beings would make a race of animals and other creatures. The Pals started out as primitives, but over time became more civilized and learned to walk on two legs, speak in human languages, and erect structures. The first records of Pals dates back to 12 decades ago (in Pal time). A manuscript from around that time period tells of a much smaller Creator toying with his infant Pal creations. Since then, Pals have advanced as humans have, making the same discoveries and inventions, sometimes before the humans. All of this has happened in total secrecy, another civilization on no human records. However, a cover-up story has been set up by several of Palville's leaders: a line of plush animals known as 'Beanie Babies'.
Biology
The Pals are very similar to Earth creatures in most respects, except for the fact that most of them walk on two legs. This gives the Pals a more humanoid appearance, mirroring that of their creators. Most of the systems in a Pal's body work the same as normal creatures, but Pals speak in Earth languages.
